For just two weeks a year, we create a small seasonal wilderness camp deep in the forests of northern Kenya.
Designed for adventurous families seeking something deeper than a safari, this hosted expedition combines camel-supported adventure, nature connection, wildlife discovery, creativity and meaningful family time.
Join us for five unforgettable days exploring rivers, waterfalls and forest trails, learning from Samburu guides, gathering around campfires beneath the stars, and experiencing the simple rhythms of life in the wild. This is an intimate wilderness experience where children are free to roam, explore and discover, while parents have space to slow down, breathe and reconnect.
Why We Created This
As parents ourselves, we've seen first-hand the magic that happens when children are given the freedom to spend time outdoors.
Over the last few years we've worked with hundreds of children through our nature-based camps, creative programmes and outdoor activities in Watamu. Again and again we've watched confidence grow, curiosity flourish and family connections deepen when children are given space to explore.
At the same time, we've spent years guiding adults through the forests of northern Kenya on our camel safaris.The Family Wilderness Expedition brings these two worlds together. Our hope is to create an experience that helps families step away from busy schedules, reconnect with nature and create memories that will last a lifetime.
